What Is The Right Time For Having a Baby?

by Khadija MAWHOUB

Having a baby is a very intimate and enjoyable experience for a couple. Having your little miracle in your stomach and then holding on to it for the first time after the exhausting birth is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. But you should always consider the right time for a child. Because even though some say that the perfect time for a baby is not there and you should just listen to your heart, you should consider a few things before you plunge into the new adventure. So there are some things that you should consider before and also many things that require intensive planning.

Is There a Right Time For a Baby?

The question of whether or not there is a right time for a child has occupied parents since time immemorial. When asked about this, most parents will claim that the right point to have children does not actually exist.

While this is presumably correct in most cases, this does not mean that there can not be times in life that are “more correct” than others. Much depends on planning and preparation. So with a little forethought, you can create the right time for a baby yourself.

The Decision To Have A Baby

Although small surprise eggs give their parents great pleasure in most cases, unwanted pregnancies can turn their lives upside down. Even though it usually turns out afterward that an unplanned child was born at the perfect time, most parents still wish to be able to determine the right time for a baby.

It is important, of course, that you make this decision together as a couple, and that each one of you is aware of the responsibility that a child brings with it. Only if it is both your desire to have a child and you or your partner not only at the request of others in the “project baby” agrees, is the right time for a child came. But of course, there are other aspects that you should consider when deciding on a child.

The Financial Aspect To Have A Baby

The right time for a baby, you can plan how you want, in the end, it usually comes differently. However, that does not mean that there should not be a few cornerstones.

A financial safeguard, with which you can give your child everything, what it needs, belongs here naturally. So the best thing to do is ask yourself who will stay home for how long after the birth and whether you will make ends meet with the lower-income plus child and parental allowance.

Keep in mind, however, that not only the first few years will be expensive, but at some point, your little one might even want to study in another city and then have to support it financially.

Even though it might not make sense to plan so far in advance and of course, many things can come in between, it always pays off to have a well-planned financial plan at all. Even if this does not work out in the end, you suddenly become unemployed or you spontaneously decide to buy a house with a large garden, by mere planning you will gain more security yourself and also have a better chance of catching up if there is not something it works as it should.

The Responsibility That Comes With New Born

In addition to the financial aspect, the willingness to take responsibility is also crucial at the right time for a child. So far you have always been responsible only for yourself or for each other.

Raising a child, on the other hand, means for the first time taking responsibility for the life of another person who is completely dependent on you. This not only means that you have to take care of your child from birth and even before that during pregnancy, but also that the best interests of the child are now the top priority.

Your own needs must, therefore, be put on the back, which also means to give up many amenities. This is a daunting task that demands enormous responsibility. If you or your partner are put off, which is not surprising considering the size and severity of the task, it may not be the right time for a child.

Think about it well. If you are uncertain and still young, it is best to wait a few more years. Many people only feel ready for children after having been in business for a few years and have seen a little bit of the world.

Do not rush, just because everyone around you seems to have children already. The right time for children may have come in the early 20s with some, but if you feel instead ready in your mid 30s, that is perfectly fine. It is important that you are aware of the responsibility and act accordingly and decide.

There may not be the right time for a child, but some times are more “right” for you than others. It is important that you are aware of the responsibility that you take with the birth of a child, you are aware of the financial burden and deny yourself with your partner.
